Voden's Job
Voden's Job is a small roguelike deckbuilding game where you have 7 rounds of experiments to collect enough DNA to evolve your specimen. Between each experiment, you can upgrade your deck with new cards, combos, and strange tools. The catch? Upgrading costs DNA, so you'll need to carefully balance how much you're willing to spend each round.
The rules are simple: each experiment round is about playing Mutation cards until you run out of options. Mutation cards have a cost, paid with Eye cards, and each one has a different effect, like drawing more cards or gaining DNA. A Mutation is too weak? Just throw in some Enzyme cards to unleash powerful combos.
The game does not hold your hand, and many of its mechanics (and tools!!) require some experimentation to figure out how they work.
DEVELOPER NOTE: Unlike the Steam version, this version of the game does not support achievements or saving. It’s a roguelike: each run starts from scratch and there is no real endgame. However, each victory increases a counter that makes the game progressively harder. Reloading the page resets the difficulty to the lowest level. In the Steam version, achievements provided a sense of progression, here, the main challenge is to win 5 times.
